Rider Owned, Van Tested
We got tired of moto shirts that either looked like a sponsor billboard or fell apart after four washes. So we made our own.
Why we started
Everything in this sport is either a race jersey or a promotional giveaway. There wasn't much you could wear to work on Monday that still said something about the weekend. That gap is the whole reason MXTEES exists.
We started with the blanks, not the graphics. Heavyweight ringspun garment-dyed cotton at 6.1 oz, soft from the first wear, pre-shrunk so the fit you buy is the fit you keep. Then we drew the graphics we actually wanted on our own shirts.
How it gets made
Every order is printed to order in the United States and shipped direct — no warehouse full of dead inventory, no minimums forcing us to design for the widest possible audience. It costs a little more per unit and it means we can make the shirt that's right instead of the shirt that's safe.
The print is water-based ink cured on the garment, which sits in the fabric rather than as a plastic slab on top of it. It stays soft, it doesn't crack, and it survives the kind of washing a shirt gets after a day in the roost.
What we won't do
- Sell a product we haven't worn ourselves for a season
- Describe a blank as “premium” without listing its weight
- Run a fake countdown or a permanent “sale”
- Print a graphic we'd be embarrassed to wear at the track
Where we're going
Season one is a tight line: tees, fleece, and headwear across four collections. If it does what we think it will, season two gets wider and the drops get more frequent. The newsletter is the only place we'll announce either.
